Plans and credits

What each plan costs and includes, what the free tier allows, and how AI credits and fair use work.

MyHermes has a free tier and two paid plans, Mini and Pro. This page covers what each one costs and includes, the limits that apply, and how AI credits pay for the model your agent uses.

Prices and currency

  • Mini costs ₹499, $9 or €9 a month. The pricing page pitches it for light use.
  • Pro costs ₹2,999, $49 or €49 a month. It's pitched for daily use and carries the "★ POPULAR" tag.

The currency follows the country you're visiting from: rupees in India, euros in the eurozone (plus Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and Vatican City), and US dollars everywhere else. Checkout charges in that same currency.

The pricing page shows prices as "/mo" with "*Fair use applies". Once you have a plan, the plan card in SettingsBilling shows the price as "/ mo + tax".

That plan card also sums up each plan's limits in a few words: "Light personal use" and "Occasional tool runs" for Mini, "Power-user workloads" and "Intensive tool use" for Pro.

What a paid plan includes

Both Mini and Pro give you:

  • Your own agent on its own machine, sized as in the table above. When it's idle the machine can stop, and it wakes on your next message or shortly before a scheduled task.
  • Memory between chats. It keeps what you tell it in files on its own disk by default.
  • Telegram. Your own bot, connected under SettingsChannels.
  • Scheduled tasks you set up by asking in the chat, within your plan's limit on how often each task runs.
  • Connections to apps you use, through connectors in builder mode.
  • Backups, as described in the table: manual on Mini; manual plus optional automatic ones on Pro.
  • AI credits every month, $1 on Mini and $5 on Pro, added when the plan starts and again at each renewal.

Keys and secrets (model keys, your Telegram bot token, tool keys, webhook signing secrets) are encrypted before they're stored.

About the hours figure on the cards

The pricing cards say Mini "works up to ~150 hours a month for you" and Pro "works up to ~266 hours a month for you". That figure is set so it never goes above what the running-time cap allows over a month; the cap itself is described under Fair use. Running time isn't charged from your credits.

Enterprise

The pricing page also has an Enterprise card, marked "Custom" and "For teams": a dedicated host, a signed contract and a scoped proposal. Its "contact sales →" button opens a contact form. Enterprise isn't a plan you can pick in the dashboard.

The free tier

The free tier is "The basics, free forever." There's no agent of your own; free chat runs on a shared MyHermes AI endpoint.

Trying it without an account

The chat on the home page works before you sign up. It's the same chat screen a signed-in free user gets, and it needs no card.

  • You can send up to 10 messages every 3 hours from one IP address.
  • You can't attach files. The chat asks you to sign in to send them.
  • Chats don't carry over: once you close the tab, you can't reopen the conversation.
  • The $0.50 of AI credit arrives when you create an account, not before.

Once you've used them, new messages are turned away until the 3-hour window has passed. Signing up is the way to keep chatting.

Free with an account

  • The free model costs nothing. Your free chat starts on MyHermes AI's free model, myhermes:free. You can send it up to 200 messages a day; the day resets at midnight UTC.
  • Other models use credits. You can pick another model in SettingsModel (open it). Anything other than myhermes:free is charged from your credit balance. If your balance runs out while you're on another model, free chat stops answering and shows an error instead. Top up under SettingsCredits or switch back to myhermes:free.
  • Or bring your own key. The same page lets you switch to another provider and save your own API key for it with "Save LLM settings". That provider bills you directly. With your own key, free chat takes up to 60 requests a minute from one IP address.
  • Free chats don't carry over. There's no Recents list, and once you close the tab you can't reopen the conversation. To start a fresh one, click "Chat" in the sidebar on a computer, or "+ New Chat" in the top bar on a phone or a narrow window.
  • One daily task. Hermes can do one thing for you every day ("Morning briefing", "Evening wind-down", "Daily nudge" or "News check") at a time you pick. Results show in For You, and each one is also emailed to you unless you turn that off. See Your free daily task.
  • Settings you can use: Status, Theme, Model (in builder mode, or from the direct link above), Usage, Credits, Billing and Help. Usage stays empty ("Usage appears once your agent is running.") until you have an agent.

Your free daily task

On the free tier, Hermes can do one thing for you every day. It runs on MyHermes AI's free model without an agent of your own, and you read the results in For You.

There are two ways to set it up:

  • Answer the first questions. The first time you open the chat, Hermes asks what to call you and what it should do for you every day. The Quickstart shows each question.
  • From For You. With no task yet, For You says "Hermes can do one thing for you every day on the free plan." Press "Set up a daily task". It asks the same questions, without your name, and ends with "Done".

Either way, pick "Morning briefing", "Evening wind-down", "Daily nudge" or "News check". Each one sends Hermes a fixed request, so you can't write your own. Then pick a time: 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 6:00 PM or 9:00 PM. "Also email it to me" is ticked, so each result is emailed to you as well unless you untick it before you press "Set it up". Your browser's time zone is saved with the time.

  • When it runs. Once a day, at about the time you picked, in that time zone. It follows daylight saving time.
  • One per account. There's no edit button: to change the pick or the time, delete the task and set it up again.
  • If setting it up fails, Hermes says something went wrong on its end and asks if you want to try again.

Reading and managing your daily task

For You shows your task's name, then a line such as "Every day at 7:00 AM (Asia/Kolkata) · Active". The status reads "Active", "Paused" or "Paused after failed runs".

  • "Pause" stops it, and "Resume" starts it again from the next daily time.
  • "Delete" asks "Delete this task?". Press "Yes, delete", or "No".
  • "Email me each result" turns the result email on or off.
  • "Recent results" lists the 7 newest results, newest first, each with its date and time in the task's time zone. New ones carry a "New" tag until you've seen them; opening For You counts as seeing them. Before the first run it says "Your first result arrives at" and the time.
  • In the chat, your newest result also shows under the message box if it's less than a day old and you haven't seen it yet, headed with the time and the task's name (for example "Your 7:00 AM Morning briefing"). "Show more" opens the full text, "See all in For You" opens the list, and ✕ hides it.
  • In builder mode, For You isn't in the sidebar, but its direct link works, and so do "See all in For You" and the email's "Manage in For You".

Results are kept with your account. If you delete the task and set one up again, the older results come back under "Recent results".

If a run doesn't go through, it's tried again at the next daily time, and For You says "The last run didn't go through. Hermes will try again at" followed by the time. After 5 failed runs in a row the task turns itself off and reads "Paused after failed runs" (it reads the same if you paused it yourself after a failed run). Press "Resume" to turn it back on. Resuming doesn't reset the count, so if the next run fails too, it turns itself off again; deleting the task and setting it up again starts the count from zero.

The result email

While the email is on, each run that works sends you one email, with the time and the task's name as its subject (for example "Your 7:00 AM Morning briefing"). The result is plain text, so any formatting marks show as typed. A run that fails sends no email, and if an email can't be sent, the result is still in For You.

To stop the emails:

  • untick "Email me each result" in For You, or
  • press "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of an email. A page asks "Stop emailing you the results of your daily task?"; press "Stop these emails". Opening the link alone changes nothing. Some mail apps also show their own unsubscribe button for these emails.

Unsubscribing stops only the email: the task keeps running and its results keep arriving in For You. To get the emails back, tick "Email me each result". The unsubscribe link in an older email keeps working, even after you delete the task and set it up again.

If the page says "That didn't go through. Try again in a moment.", press the button again in a moment. If it says the link looks incomplete, open the unsubscribe link from the email again.

If you pick a plan

Your daily task isn't moved onto your new agent, and it doesn't appear on the Scheduled page. It keeps running as it is, and so do its emails if they're on. For You shows it above your agent's tasks under "Your daily task from the free plan", with the same buttons, so you can pause or delete it there. The result stops showing on the chat's welcome screen. To have your agent do the same job, ask Hermes for it in the chat (see Scheduled tasks).

What needs a paid plan

Everything that depends on having your own agent: memory between chats, Telegram, scheduled tasks you ask for in the chat (the free tier gets one daily task instead), connectors to other apps, and backups.

In Settings, these sections show a "Pick a plan" button on the free tier instead of their controls: Channels, Voice, Memory, Background tasks, Personality, Skills, Connectors, Local servers, Webhooks, API, Tool keys and Backups.

Fair use: the running-time cap

Each paid agent has a rolling cap on how long its machine runs. MyHermes checks two windows at once: the last 5 hours and the last 7 days.

In any 5 hoursIn any 7 days
Mini3 hours35 hours
Pro4 hours64 hours

Only time while the machine is running counts. MyHermes tracks it from a check-in the machine sends every 5 minutes while it runs, so an agent that's asleep isn't using up its cap. Running time isn't charged from your credits.

The fair use page explains the idea in plain words, without these numbers.

When you reach the cap

  • On Telegram, the bot tells you Hermes has been hard at work and is catching its breath, and says when it'll be back at full speed. Your message is saved and answered automatically once the window frees up.
  • In the web chat, you get the same "catching its breath" message with the time it'll be back at full speed. Your message isn't saved, so send it again after that time.
  • In SettingsUsage, a "RECHARGING" banner says "Hermes is resting." and shows when it'll be back online.
  • Scheduled tasks don't get woken while the cap is reached.
  • Through the API endpoint, requests are turned away with a 429 error until the window frees up.

On Mini, the Telegram and web chat messages also point to Pro, and the Usage banner adds "Upgrade to Pro →".

Other limits

  • Web chat. Up to 10 messages a minute per agent. One message can be up to 32,000 characters with up to 5 attachments.
  • Scheduled tasks. Each scheduled task can run up to 24 times a day on Mini (about once an hour) and 96 times a day on Pro (about every 15 minutes). A task set to run more often than that is marked as exceeding your plan's daily limit on the Scheduled page, and isn't woken on schedule.
  • Webhooks. Up to 20 webhooks per agent. Each one can fire 100 times (Mini) or 1,000 times (Pro) in a 24-hour window that starts with its first request, and more than 30 requests a minute are turned away. Webhooks has the details.
  • Local servers. Mini can have 4 active at once and Pro 12. Only servers that run inside your agent count; connectors to other apps' servers don't. Any extras are marked inactive, over the plan limit.
  • Backups. Mini keeps the newest 3 backups and Pro the newest 7, counting manual and automatic ones together. The limit is a number of backups, not a number of days. Automatic backups are Pro only and stay off until you choose daily or weekly. You can make up to 3 manual backups an hour.

AI credits

AI credits pay for the model your agent uses when it runs on MyHermes AI, the built-in model service.

What they are

  • Your balance is in US dollars, shown to four decimal places, and marked "USD-denominated · no expiry". Credits don't run out with time.
  • "Credits are always billed in USD, even if your subscription is in another currency."

Where credits come from

  • $0.50 once, when you create your account.
  • Your plan's monthly bundle: $1 on Mini, $5 on Pro, added when the plan starts and at each renewal. When this month's bundle has arrived, the Credits page says how much of your balance came from it.
  • Top-ups you buy yourself (see below).

What uses credits

  • The model on MyHermes AI. New agents start on MyHermes AI. When MyHermes AI is selected, SettingsModel shows your balance with a "top up" link.
  • Other models on the free tier. Anything other than myhermes:free.
  • The built-in Jev skill, which every paid agent has, while your agent's main model is MyHermes AI. On another provider, Jev uses an OpenRouter key if your agent has one, and otherwise it isn't available.

What doesn't use credits

  • Your own provider key or sign-in. If you switch your agent to another provider with your own key, or sign in with a ChatGPT or Grok account, its model use goes to that provider or account, not your credits.
  • The free model, myhermes:free, on the free tier.
  • Running time. Neither the running-time cap nor the "hours a month" figure touches your credits.
  • Some connectors spend on their own service instead. For example, the treg and Gamma connectors use your treg or Gamma credits, and OpenAlex uses your own OpenAlex account's budget.

Checking your balance and topping up

Open SettingsCredits (open it). It's there on every plan, including the free tier, in simple and builder mode.

To top up, pick "$5", "$10", "$25", "$50" or "$100", or type any whole-dollar amount from $1 to $1,000 in "or enter custom amount (USD)". Then press "checkout" to pay on a hosted payment page.

Under "recent activity" you'll see your last 50 entries, labelled with names such as "free welcome bonus", "welcome bonus", "monthly bundle", "top-up", "usage" and "adjustment". If there's nothing to list yet, it says "no activity yet".

SettingsUsage (open it) shows sessions, messages, tokens and your busiest times once you have an agent. Token counts are only tracked for MyHermes AI; with your own provider key or a ChatGPT or Grok sign-in, it says they're not tracked.

Changing your plan

  • Upgrading from Mini to Pro. Press "Upgrade to Pro →". You see the prorated amount you'll be charged today, and press "Confirm". Your plan changes straight away, and your agent moves to the bigger machine shortly after.
  • Downgrading from Pro to Mini. Press "Downgrade to Mini". It takes effect at the end of your billing period, you keep Pro until then, and you can press "Undo" any time before it happens. Downgrading to Mini turns automatic backups off.
  • Cancelling. Press "Cancel plan", then "Yes, cancel". Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, and you keep your agent and can chat with it until then. When the period ends, MyHermes backs up your agent and then removes it, and your account goes back to free chat.
  • Resubscribing. A cancelled plan that's still inside its paid period shows "Resubscribe", which opens the plans page so you can start a new subscription.
  • A failed renewal. If a payment fails, Billing shows that the payment failed and asks you to update your payment method, with a "See plans" button.
  • Plans that can't be changed here. A few subscriptions don't support changes from the dashboard. Their card has no buttons and asks you to contact support instead.

The Billing guide goes through every step, including what happens after you cancel.

Common questions

Do unused credits expire?

No. Your balance is marked "no expiry", and each month's bundle adds to it.

Why are credits in dollars when my plan is in rupees or euros?

Credits are always in US dollars, whatever currency your subscription uses.

Does the "hours a month" number cost me credits?

No. The hours figure isn't charged from credits. The running-time cap under fair use is what limits how long your agent runs.

Can I stop paying for model use with credits?

Yes. In builder mode, SettingsModel lets you switch your agent to another provider with your own key, or sign in with a ChatGPT or Grok account. Your agent's model use then goes to that provider or account instead of your credits, and MyHermes doesn't track those tokens. The built-in Jev skill stops using your credits too: on another provider it uses an OpenRouter key if your agent has one, and otherwise it isn't available. Models and keys covers switching.

What happens when I hit the running-time cap?

Telegram messages wait and get answered automatically. Web chat messages don't, so send them again once Hermes is back. Scheduled tasks aren't woken until the window frees up. See When you reach the cap.
